Today we are making Paneer Idli

It is made very easily and quickly and is relished by all, and is a favorite among kids,

To make Paneer Idli first of all we need to prepare the batter,

for that we have taken ½ cup semolina , place it in a big bowl,

also add ½ cup (50 gms ) chickpea flour in it and take 1 cup whisked curd,

Pour the curd and mix it well, there should be no lump in the batter,

There are no lumps in the batter but it is dense, add a little water in it,

Mix it well, we have prepared a thick batter,

It should be of the same consistency as that of the dal batter for idli,

Batter is ready now, lets mix veggies and spices in it,

Add ½ cup finely chopped carrots, ½ cup finely chopped capsicum,

2 tbsp finely chopped green coriander, 2 green chilies finely chopped,

If the kids don’t like green chili then you can skip using it,

also add ¾ tsp salt, Mix all ingredients till they mix well,

Keep the batter aside for 15 minutes to set, semolina and chickpea flour will be puffed up and ready,
Till then let us grate and ready the paneer ,

we have used 125 gram paneer, now grate it,

15 minutes are over, batter is puffed up and ready, add grated paneer and mix it well,

If the batter seems dense then add a little water,

Batter is ready , Lets ready the Idli stand for it,

We have taken a stand and put a little oil in the moulds,

Smooth all the moulds with a little oil,

Mould are smooth with oil and ready,

Meanwhile put a little water in a cooker and let it boil,

add ½ to 2 cup water in the cooker,

Turn on the flame, and let the water boil, cover it so that the water boils easily,

at last we add 1 tsp eno fruit salt to it, pour 1 tsp water over the batter,

because the batter seems dense, we mix it,

Do not stir it too much, nor for too long, just mix it till the eno mixes well,

Batter is ready, we have used a little less than ½ cup water in it,

Now fill the mould with the batter,

Put a little batter in the moulds, arrange the moulds in the stands,

all the moulds are arranged, screw them well,

Now let’s place it to cook, there is boil in water, place the stand in the cooker,

and close the cooker, remove the whistle from the cooker lid,

Cook the idli on medium flame for 10 to 12 minutes ,

we have a little batter left, we can make a pancake from it,

12 minutes are over , let’s check the idli,

The idli looks puffy ,and they are cooked in 12 minutes,

To check the idli , poke the idli in the middle , check if the knife comes out clean,

Then the idli is ready, cooker has steam so cover your hands with a cloth,

and take out the idli stand like this and keep it, open and separate the moulds,

so that the idli cools down quickly,

because we have to take out the idli from the moulds once they cool down,

Idlis have cooled down,

Take them out from the moulds, put a cloth on your hand, because the moulds are little hot right now,

take out the idli from the moulds with the help of a knife,

take out all the idlis from the moulds,

Sumptuous Paneer Idli is ready ,

To make them more delicious we will put some tempering over it,

Let’s prepare the tempering,

Heat the tadka pan, add 1 tbsp oil to it, let the oil heat up,

Put mustard seeds in the oil, we have taken ¼ tsp black mustard seeds,

You can also take small mustard seeds too,

Roast the mustard seeds,

Mustard is roasted , turn off the flame, put curry leaves into it,

Put the tempering over the idlis, Paneer Idli is ready , mouth drooling Paneer idli is ready,

making them is really easy,

While making the batter , make sure the batter is not very thin, keep it a little dense,

You can add water later if it seems dense,

Mix eno fruit salt in the batter at last and stir it till it mixes well,

do not stir it for too long, you will make tempting Idlis,

Paneer idli can be served with coconut chutney , tomato sauce, peanut chutney or any chutney of your choice,
